Aeroasia-Hydromex Technologies Co. Ltd. has a rich history rooted in innovation and collaboration. In 2006, the groundwork for the company was laid when Engineer Norlan Unson of Aeroasia partnered with Doctor Harald Kremnitz of HWK Foundation. Together, they adapted the patented Hydromex technology, initially designed for toxic and hazardous waste treatment, to address wastewater management.

This groundbreaking application spurred extensive research and development efforts, leading to the creation of a locally developed technology known as the Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP). Over the years, this technology has evolved and matured, and it now stands as a testament to our commitment to providing efficient and sustainable wastewater treatment solutions.

In 2009, with the refined AOP technology, Aeroasia-Hydromex Technologies Co. At Aeroasia-Hydromex, we developed and formulated Advanced Oxidation Processes or AOPs through our unique partnership with HWK Foundation. Our AOPs were designed to ensure that our clients and partners benefit from the lower operational expenses reaped from using our technologies.

Aeroasia-Hydromex engineer Norlan Unson and HWK Foundation’s Dr Herald Kremnitz spearheaded the development of AOPs, our highly developed novel technologies to speed up the necessary oxidation process. 

The Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) is a cutting-edge technology that is utilized for wastewater treatment. It involves the generation of hydroxyl radicals – highly reactive oxygen species, capable of breaking down a wide range of pollutants, including those resistant to conventional treatment methods.

In the context of wastewater treatment, AOP technology plays a crucial role. It helps in the efficient removal of various contaminants including organic materials and microorganisms, making the water safe for discharge or reuse.

At AeroAsia Hydromex Technologies Co. Ltd., we use AOP technology to transform the way wastewater is treated. Our locally developed AOP system ensures high treatment efficiency, contributing to water conservation and environmental protection by turning wastewater into a resource rather than a waste product.

In 2006, HWK unveiled its custom-designed and patented hydromex technology for wastewater treatment. Before this, HWK invested in thorough research to develop what would later be known as the advanced oxidation process or AOP.

The idea for the AOP sprang from its innovators’ vision to provide even small businesses with an economically viable, cost-efficient and easy-to-operate technology through a custom-designed performance-consistent system.

To achieve an effective yet financially-viable solution, the company combine ozone gas and water with high pH to derive the quality concentration of Aerosia-Hydromex AOP system design. Our 2020 system design is consistently compliant with DAO 2016-08 parameters of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), with a provision reserved for 100% recycling if opted by the client.

The Aeroasia Way

There are two basic components of applying the Advanced Oxidation Process for wastewater treatment the Aeroasia way:

  1. The Anaerobic Digester, and
  2. The AOP Equipment.

When implemented, these are the processes that occur:

  1. In the anaerobic digester, the influent will undergo at least 45% removals of organic contaminants. This will result in the elevation of pH levels.
  2. The AOP equipment will saturate the influent with ozone until a chemical reaction is reached, resulting in hydroxyl radicals, which is necessary for the treatment process.

The system will produce micro-bubbles, which is crucial in increasing the overall efficiency while reducing the retention time needed for each process.

There will be a tertiary treatment that will ensure Aeroasia’s consistent compliance with DAO 2016 parameters. In some cases, to implement recycling to achieve non-potable uses, especially when it is economically feasible.
